The water and spray is lovely. I like that it's dark and the llight on the edge of the surfboard leads your eye to the back. I'd like to see a little more sky above his head. Overall - a good capture.

This seems a tad dull to me. Maybe due to the overcast sky or time of day. The compositioin is quite good. Maybe if you could beef up the blue of the water, and the contrast, it might have a bit more pizzazz. I hope you found this helpful.

The rounded qualities of the cello, his head and the legs of the chair are a nice contrast to all of the straight lines and angles of the steps and bricks. I love that some of them are white - creating an interesting yet non-distracting foreground. I think I would have cropped out part of the upper third and maybe placed myself so the circular part of the building is not directly over his head. 7

The leading lines of this photo is subtle yet effectual. The varied colors could be distracting but because the middle and last woman have on a pastel colored top, the design and brightness of the first one in focus, just gives it more pop. Good use of light. The skin tones are natural.

This is so interesting. I don't know how you did it, but it's quite effective. The colors and clarity is spot on. Are those checkers???? Lids? Well, whatever, the varying sizes of the drops makes it very pleasing to the eye. 8

I love the detailing of this electric guitar. The dark red is a great compliment to the creamy white of thek nobs and levers. It has great leading lines as well. This is an excellent use of light. 8

Make your own Tracks

The softness of this is really a nice touch. I love the shimmering reflection and your composition of the human and dog in the right. The human is dark and the dog is white, which is the perfect contrast to the rest of the black and white image. I would hang this on my wall! 8

On Her Own

I love the cloud bank. Usually a photo like this works better with a single figure, but with them being so far apart, the one in the distance draws your eye to the back. The white cuff of the little one's jacket is a nice compliment to the light tones of the waves and the clouds. The use of a mustard type filter is an interesting take on it. Your perspective from ground level makes this very effective. 8
