I love this. The warm browns with the cool greys along with the geometry of it all makes for a very artful shought. Nicely thought out and executed. One of the best I've seen so far.

Really clever idea. I like the leading line of it as well. The foliage in the background is pretty distracting and almost hurts my eyes. I wish it were against a solid background. Black would have been great.

You're entirely too cute to worry that much about Neat Image. Let the stubble go and if skin's not perfect? All the more of you to find interesting!! I love the pose and I like the chambray shirt alot. Sometimes glasses aren't good in a shot, but these are actually an attribute!!! You go get 'em tiger!!!!

Greetings from the Critique Club!

This is a different take on the challenge, which is interesting and certainly suits it. I think it might've served you better and emphasized the shoe and hoof, had it been possibly a tighter shot of the actual horse shoe itself. As it is, it has a bit more of a snapshot sense to it and your eye follows around without a particular place to focus on. The light and shadow are a bit distracting from the subject that you were going for. I might've had the horse's hoof directly in front of me with the lens pointing down onto it with a stream of light directly on it to possibly get some shine off of the metal. It would still be apparent that it is a horse but the hind quarters of the animal itself are not necessary for the shot. The gloved hand could be an integral part as well, without it covering up the majority of the shoe. I hope you find these suggestions helpful. Best of luck in the future. From looking at your other photos, you certainly have the eye and the imagination to create some terrific shots!! Judy

Greetings from the Critique Club!!

At first glance, this photo captures your eye with the prismatic flare from the crystal on the shoe! It has a fun sense to it and makes you want to figure out where it came from. The composition is good as the shoes are laying in a way that appears as if they just were taken off and left there. The pearls just fell on them in a haphazard fashion, or so it seems, which adds to the illusion of the shot. The pearls seem a bit blurred to me. The black background does this justice, creating an almost no end to the shoes as to where one stops and the background starts. The lighting is effective especially on that "spark" of color in the center. Overall, I think it is a good capture, but maybe a little tweaking could be done to get the pearls to be perfectly focused. I like the originality of it and think you did a good job. Your imagination and creativity shined through on this one. Had this been advanced editing, I would have cloned out the labels on the inside. All the best, Judy

Wow - what a rainbow. Are those dolphins? It's a beautiful spot. I love the warm rich tones of the flora and fauna. Great capture!
