Fly Away to Someone Newby SkipComment: Very pretty. The bright lantana is a compliment to the butterfly and a nice contrast to the green of the leaves. It does seem a bit out of focus though. Not the deliberate area in the background, which is fine, but some of the area to the right. The colors make it very appealing. With spot on focus, this could be a real winner. |

Made to be Brokenby JHComment: Very cool. I like that you went to some trouble to prove the point without explaining it in the title. This is very graphic and would be a cool ad shot. I wish that the ruller were a touch more focused. The blur of the pencil eraser could use a bit of work. I love the guy's shadowed face and expression. A+ for originality. |

Hands against the wallby rameviComment: Interesting monochromatic theme. You rarely see that much orange. It suits the challenge. HIs expression seems a tad strained. I'd up the tonality a bit by adjusting curves. Overall - provoking and different. |

Little House on the Prairieby NazgulComment: I love the minimalism. This would be a great study in black and white as well. I wish it had a touch of red somewhere. Really well done. So graphic in it's simplicity. |

Autumn Crocusby SJCarterComment: Very striking and not the typical single stem poking up against a solid background. The contrast is great. You might even could up it a bit more. Also, you might try taking the single color selector and taking all of the black out of the white. Those flowers might really have some pizzaz then. I like the stamens being so visible and the bud in the lower part. Very nice overall -- perfect use of black and white. |

Courageby deapeeComment: Very nice. There are several shots like this, so it's not perfectly original, but I like it. Maybe a touch more detailing on the stem would really give it some pop. |

Mother's Ruleby vtruanComment: Nice shot. As I said in another comment with a field of cattle, I love the horses but with so many, it almost makes it too busy. I'd love to just see two or 3 strategically placed in the shot, but I'm sure with the circumstances, that is impossible. The lighting seems a touch overexposed. Maybe it's just the glimmer on the palamino's coat in the foreground. It is a cute idea and the title is certainly suitable. ;~D This might be a fun study in black and white. I think there is enough contrast for that to work. Good luck. |

Lower Windmill K (1633)by AzrifelComment: The touch of red makes the shot. Love the windmill!! I wish the sky color were a bit more vitrant. The reflection in the marsh is pretty. It might be fun to try a single color sat, by ridding the shot of all of the color except the red. Just a fun thought. ;~D |
