Going to Seedby LadyKComment: I agree with the comment below that I would focus more on the flower/seeds and remove the vertical distractions. What a great flower thing (?) to photograph though. Lot's of texture and colors that are interesting. I would jus switch up the composition some. |

Roseby LadyKComment: This is a really neat shot. I wish the rose was either a total sihouette or had a bit more detail showing. Still...it's a nice artistic piece of photography. |

My Mountainsby LadyKComment: What a beautiful location. I love reflection shots and you did a very nice job with this one. I wish the mountain had a bit more contrast, but it is what it is. What a great place to grow up with a camera! |

Girl of Desire (representing 'Going to California')by LadyKComment: I'm not familiar with the song, but I'm just commenting on the photo itself outside of the challenge.
The tones seem very red to me - low, indoor lighting that seems flat and unappealing for the skin tones.
I like the expression and the flower in the hair, but I don't like the angle and distortion from the lens. The crop just seems very cramped to me. The red checked table cloth or spread in the background seems to add nothing and is a distraction.
Ok...I hope I haven't been too harsh, but I am always honest in my comments so that when I say "great job" on something you can be assured I mean that too! I think the idea here has merit, but just needed a better execution. |

Terrible Twosby jpochardComment: The original idea was to have the mom hold her baby standing still and sharp, with the two year old circling around her to make the blur.
Well, baby was napping at first, so we didn't want to wake him. 2 yr. old needed constant motivation from mom to walk around her doing things, so she was blurry. This was the best shot of the series, but not really what I had in mind. I actually did kind of like the colors of her room and thought they photographed well. There was a crispness to the background that offset the blurring nicely. |
