One of my two picks for the top spot, but I don't know if this one will be as appreciated...I hope so. I really like the textures, colors, and almost abstract feel to the photo. You've placed the leaf perfectly in the frame and the gold of the leaf against the silvery gray / green of the res of the shot is very appealing.

Beneath the flow, a silver can glows - a sign of mans' trespass.

I wish you would have just cropped to the rocks. To me, that is the strength of the photo and would stand better on its own. In any case, a nice shot.

I have come back to look at this several times and have finally decided I like it :) The composition / subject is just so odd, that it took me awhile to appreciate it. I just really like the black and whites, the lighting and the way she is looking straight into the camera. It may not be totally to my tastes, but it certainly carries an impact. Congrats!

Nothing at all against Tim's shot, but I would have picked this for first because it is so intense and dramatic. The exposure on the flames just seems perfect to me and it was at just the right time of the evening. Superb! And a huge hug and congrats on that ribbon!!
