I don't think I would find this cover appealing, looking over a magazine rack. It's not eyecatching, and it's not intriguing. Points for trying something different, but the black "flecks" and the overall shot just really don't appeal to me.

I do like this one alot. The other one is okay, but I much prefer the composition of this one. It does give the feel of being there. I like how the far end of the walkway is still visible and not a dark shadow, and I like the hanging light. The shadows really make this shot. Like the tones, but too bad about the water drop! I would also change the border to a darker shade.
