Pretty rose shot. Great color and nice arrangement to capture, with the surrounding buds. Water drops do look nice on the blooms, don't they? I will have to get out to some gardens this summer. In my yard I'd have to stick to photographing dandelions! :)

Neat idea for the challenge. The focus seems good here, but something about the shot is preventing it from really "popping" out at me. There appears to be a lot of texture here, but I don't get a really strong feeling of it from the photo. Maybe a closer shot or different lighting? The b/w tones seem a bit warm, and maybe the texture would show better in a harsher b/w? I also would have liked it better with the top portion cropped more...just about to a square. I did that on my monitor and I liked it that way. I'm no expert, but I did give this an above average score. I like the idea a lot. I hope this is helpful.

Cool place for your shot. I don't know why, but I feel like it needs a bit of a counter-clockwise rotation. Tones aren't too bad, but I would have liked to have seen a bit more detail and texture to the shot. The rocks and stones have a rather "flat" appearance to me as far as lighting and b/w tone. I think this would be a great place to do in color. Hope this is helpful.
