JA Assignment1.jpgby debitiptonComment: What a nice shot. Your daughter has a beautiful face and smile. I like this the way it is quite a lot, but I agree with not centering the composition quite as much. Still, a very nice polished looking shot. |

Assignment 3 - redoby KevinRiggsComment: Excellent combo of photos and both so well done. I do like this version a bit better than your original. Great, natural expressions and pose. Focus, exposure and editing all appear wonderful to my eye. |

Rugged To The Touchby Joey LawrenceComment: Wow..hard to believe this one came in so low. I think it's just an excellent shot. Good exposure, good focus and use of b/w and nice casual pose of the subject. I like the rather dark contrast and tend to use that a bit more myself. I think it adds some drama to a shot. It's done really well here without overdoing it.
The only thing I can see to do differently would be maybe some slightly different composition to focus on the texture a bit more...just for the challenge, though. As a portrait I like it just the way it is. |

Journey Through Middle-earthby Joey LawrenceComment: I've not read or watched LOTR so I'm not familiar with the characters, but it was fun reading through your comments to see who you "fooled" with this one :) Wherever you're doing these "deep forested fog" shots, you're certainly conveying the mood quite well.
Maybe just a bit too much light on the front leaves, but that's just my .02. |

Midnight Cedar by Joey LawrenceComment: The king of the fog machine! I really like this shot. I'm not sure I would say there's a strong connection to the challenge topic, but it works. Very moody, very spooky. The lighting and the pose are perfect. I think it would have been even better to have some water with reflections at the bottom of the pic. |

Crop Circlesby SJCarterComment: Very nice composition. I would have liked some more contrast, or perhaps left it in color. The field and front portion just seem a bit dark to me. |

The Comforts Of Homeby Joey LawrenceComment: Great shot and editing. The sky really makes this one something special and I think besides this effect, it lends itself to a lot of different possibilities. Nice composition too. |
