Hummingbird Mothby TuckersmomComment: That is one big critter! I'm sure it's one of those shots that you really don't have the benefit of a lot of time to compose, but I would have liked a different angle on this shot. You sort of loose the moth in the flowers. The overall shot seems a little dark to me, and seems to have lost some detail. I hope this is helpful! |

Learning to be Freeby TelehubbieComment: Should have entered. I love this. The golden tones, the stances...I can almost feel that bike wobbling just a bit! Just a wonderful family moment captured. |

Apollo Rising by Keith ManiacComment: I think your model makes this shot work so well. It's my favorite of the challenge. Her athletic, petite figure and the stance taken here is very androgenous, which I think gives it more of a "power of the gods" sort of mood. I love the golden tones, the slight haloing of light around the model, and the simplicity of the shot. Congratulations on a great shot! |

Crossing.by boyetvComment: I'm trying to leave comments on any photos I score below a 5. I hope you will find it helpful.
I scored this 3. You will probably get many comments about the size of the submssion being too small. It's difficult to see the subject. What makes is worse is that I think the composition is very busy and makes it hard to for the viewer to dtermine what you were wanting us to see. The most notcable thing to me is the white back end of the truck on the left. It's obviously raning, but there is no real interest here. |

Solaceby nico_blueComment: I really like this shot, but I think I would like it better if I could see more of the person and the location. By just focusing so much of the shot on the face, it looks more like a morning shower, not rain. What you have here is very well done though, IMO. |

Composite - 3 Statesby KevinRiggsComment: I really like this alot! The only thing I don't like about it is that it makes mine look bad :P
I like having the closeup central, really like the naturalness of the expressions and the desat works very nicely as well. Makes me truly wish I'd been this much into photography when my girls were this young. |

DSC_3463edit.jpgby irishempressComment: Great, clear shot. I think I would have liked it better without quite so harsh lighting, without the hat, and less centered. Those eyes are terrific, but I think for a shot this close it would have been nice to have him looking into the camera. Those are the things I see, but I do believe it's a nice shot as is also. |

Lauren's Worldby debitiptonComment: I really like this trio. It's wonderful having each parent on one side of the trio. I think maybe the white is a tad overdone...a little too much of it IMO, but I really love the idea. I'll bet the parents will love it too! I can see how Jinky inspired one like this! |

JA3.jpgby debitiptonComment: I wish I had a place to try one like this with my daughter. Yours looks a bit uncomfortable in this position. I think her legs down a bit might have been better. Technically, good shot. Maybe a little soft to my eye.
The thing I notice from both your shots vs. the inspiration one is the angle. The jinky shot is more from the side and less in front of the model and that might work better here. Just a thought. |
