Didn't vote this challenge -- would have scored this on the lower side as I'm not connecting to the subject or form somehow. Disecting this a bit it could be the central composition? the placement of the boots? Maybe I'm not a cowboy boot fan?? ;)

I scored this one a 7. Thought at the time you might pay for the artistic style of the portrait and it looks as though you did :(

Would like to see the eyeglass on right completely separate from the background. Really like the detail you kept in the face. You and your model communicate sense of cheer and joy.

Surprised this didn't score higher (perhaps not as much branch as fruit? Silly as it's interpretation clearly meets the challenge) -- didn't vote this one. The sunkissed fruit makes the shot as it offers color and form.

I didn't get to vote on 100% of this challenge so no "actual" score. I would have scored it on the high side for a few reasons:
- placement of the main element is great (central and yet not symetrical)
- it's an interesting tone and the muted colors give it a woody, hushed feel
- post processing shows care and an artistic touch

Only (very small) negative, the clump in the center detracts from the simple lines.
