I like the gritty feel and expression -- A tighter crop on just the face (and less of the tree) would remind me more of a movie poster-type shot.

really like your composition -- the separated seedling makes it new (I'm guessing you've heard there's another dandelion in the "Old" challenge -- I've read about yours, too LOL) to me it's quite clear how each photo made the "new" vs "old" point

I think I'd like more blur (or perhaps a bit less light) on the flower itself as I find my eye too distracted.

this one's stand out was it's composition and simple tonal combinations. Texture was a bit skimpy (although now I realize that there was the overall texture -- at voting time I was focused on the texture of each shell so I scored it 5 with all the others) an oversight on my part.
