Harmony in stoneby RUEDISCHMUTZComment: Beautiful textures in the stone and in the artwork it surrounds. Nicely photographed and presented. This piece of artwork fits the texture challenge, but could use (in my opinion, of course) something original from the photographer to set it off. |

Texture of Pollenby relbComment: You spend a lot of time getting to know this beauty and came up with a fine rendition for the challenge. Colors and composition are good. Depth of field ( in my opinion for what it's worth) could have been just a bit stronger in the lower section of the image. Neverthe less, it is a strong image. |

Rock and Iceby jmritzComment: This is a lovely landscape. But, you know, the Challenge story opf texture is (Iin my opinion) in the foreground. A judicious crop would enhance this very nice image. |

Touch the Flowby willchuehComment: Lovely texture and beautifully seen. The needed contrast is provided with the green leaf, and the pattern of the roots keep the viewer in the picture. I might go for just a bit more color. Nevertheless, the pattern is strong. Good work. |

chokin georgeby kentComment: You've done a good job of texture on the hand. While if it were mine, I'd probably hold back on the saturation button a bit, it isn't mine, it's yours and you've done a good job depicting your take on the subject. |

Anthuriumby admart01Comment: This lovely antherium is beautifully photographed and nicely framed. It is such a colorful flower, I wish you had done it in full color. Nevertheless, it gets full marks for photographic excellence. |

Traditional Jewlery (Bone carving)by aKiwiComment: I love the texture of the weaving which is nicely photographed. Ttoo many times during this competition, I have written, "wouldn't it be nice to have another shape or color to provide contrast?" Well you have done that and done it well. Very, very nice. |

Chanel Endingsby CatherineComment: I don't know anything abuot chanel endings, but I do know a nice powder puff when I see one and this captures the Challenge beautifully. It is tough to do, but I wish focus has been sharp all the way through. Still, a good image. |

"50 yr. old fence post."by jimsappComment: Oh, I love the texture in this fence post. It may be that you sharpened it a bit much (or maybe not); it's a good example of the play of lights and darks against a good complementary background. |

Morning Lightby GordonComment: This is a wonderful capture of the texture of the branches and snow. In a way, I wish there was some contrasting shape or color somewhere in the composition to add interest to this nice image. Still, it's good seeing. |
