asign1.jpgby briphotoComment: I love these old houses with gables and angles going every which way. The sky was not your friend that day; wonder if you could enhance it (and maybe the chimney pots) in some way with Photoshop. |

IMG_1118mariott-metreonW.jpgby sfaliceComment: Thanks, Banmorn. Yes, the far building is sometimes known as the "jukebox Mariott" or the "Wurlitzer Mariott" by locals. You're right, it does have some interesting details that are fun to play with. The top floor is a cocktail lounge with fabulous views of the bay area. The smoked glass up there makes it difficult to get any photography, tho. ;>( |

octogon.jpgby FirstyComment: That certainly is a bizarre cylinder in the middle of the building. Wonder whatever possessed the designer to stick it there. ;>)
Otherwise, it might be fun to see this photographed on a day when the clouds were reflected more fully in the glass. You have a hint of it here; it could be interesting when developed further. |

jb.jpgby dragonladyComment: I very much like the shapes you found here. The sweeping curves of the new bridge, the jagged curves of the old one and then the still different curves of the mid-section, all add excitement to this one. It's held together nicely by the straight, rigid pylons. Those leading white edges add even more interest. |

Steps Of Solitudeby singeComment: Hmmmm. Having been fooled once by a pink arrived at by "slider", I have to ask if this is the original color... ;>)
No matter how this color came into being, it's an interesting image with lots of possibilities. The railing and door, isolated, could make an unusual abstract. As could the corner of the loading dock incorporating that green along with the black and pink. |

Alice2.jpgby FirstyComment: That lightening at the base helps quite a bit. I like it. Now, the lone white light standard in the middle sticks out like a sore thumb. Probably, now I'd think about cloning it out.
You're in Sidney. Hope you show us some views of the Opera House. All those spectacular lines! |
