21-june 08. before&after. burnoffby rozComment: I agree with you, Roz. This would probably be classified more as photo-journalism than the expanse of land people like to call 'landscape.'
You brought out the smoke extremely successfully. I find it hard to photograph smoke and make it actually look like smoke rather than haze. You nailed it. |

Bright Angel Editedby TCGuruComment: Oh, my! Lookin' good, for sure. Good subject and great transformation.
one tiny suggestion: maybe put a more substantial cloud under each of her feet?

Daphneby GeneralEComment: Thank you, GeneralE for showing you steps in creating this delicately lovely image of Daphne. Yes, if you make a print of this for Ann, you will have given a keepsake they will treasure. You have captured the brand-new wonder of a child beautifully in this image.

16-june 08. before&after. teganby rozComment: PRETTY lady! You say she's in the spa. I remember (from my three weeks in AU, some 20+ years ago) that spa could be a fancy word for bore. Nice warm water, sometimes warmer than warm, that came from deep below the surface. Interesting odor too. But oh, so comforting.
Okay, enough reminiscing, back to the image at hand - as others have noted, you pulled out and made important those ripples that set off the pretty girl, beautifully. It's easy to see you are no stranger to color and are not afraid to use it, which you do, very well. |

Just two delightful treatments of a good starting point. |

Sunrise, Summer Solstice 2008by GeneralEComment: Charming subject matter for a solstice image.
I liked the treatment you gave it, with the blurred out
fence pointing the way to the brilliant sun-flower. |
