6-august 08 flowers. pinkby rozComment: Unless Aussie bees are more docile than USA bees, this is an exceptional capture. It's darned hard to get wings at full extension. Maybe Katie has helped with your reflexes.
:-))
In any event, this is just great, as usual. |

This is a delightfully imaginative interpretation.
Just delightful. Keep 'em coming. |

Yellow Daisiesby BAMartinComment: It's pleasant to see the colors repeated in the background. Seems to complete the composition. |

5591 Tulip Hybridby pixelpigComment: Whatever you're doing, pixelpig, it works for me. If you would share some of your processing steps I know we would all appreciate them.
I sometimes use a bit of tone mapping, using a new program called "Essential HDR" that I heard about here on DPC a week or so ago. I've used some of the other programs, including the one in Photoshop and the colors are too garish for my tastes. This one seems to be a but more subdued. As I work with it a bit more, I'll try to give a report.
But whatever you are doing is exciting and I like it very much. |

Blue Candelabraby GeneralEComment: Yeah, these are tiny little things, aren't they!
Good definition and detail and I think the dark background
makes them pop beautifully. |
