Balloon Fiesta over Academyby BalkoComment: HA, now I see where you got your profile picture!
These things are crazy-weird in their flamboyant designs and ability to draw attention in any setting. You caught that well here.
In my area they are plentiful in the very early morning and are for hire to wine country tourists. Nope, never been up in one.
Okay, one of the things Topaz does all too well is halo the very best of objects. My monitor shows a lot of that going on around the balloons. And the tree. In my own experimenting, I've found that working the sliders can diminish the haloing - but also diminishes the effect. There must be a happy medium in there someplace. |

yellow-pots-by sfaliceComment: said smichener interesting effect. I take it you added the color as opposed to bringing out what was there?
There must have been the rudiments of these colors in the image because when I used a light "cartoon" effect from Simplify to start the processing, some pale forms of these colors came through. But that's what "selective colors" are for, and I just used the sliders liberally until the pale colors became vivid enough to appeal to me.
If they were not there, I would have no problem using Match Colors and a palette of my own making. |
