I think the subject is wonderful. I don't like the overexposed forhead (at least it looks overexposed to me), and the hand also seems to lack detail. A shame, because I think this could be a great image.

Very nice setting and great use of color.
My only comment would be to have had the light hit more of the child's face (i.e coming from the front more to get into the hood). But lovely picture ... as a mum I would be terrified that he falls on/down those hard steps :-(, but as a photographer I think the setting is great :-)

What a good capture of a lovely display. the light through those wing feathers is beautiful. Love your composition.
Only thing I would try is a bit more sharpening. However, having said that I just looked at HarveyG's goose and was amazed how much better the full size image is over the dpc one. So perhaps the slight blur here is due to the re-sizing rather than the actual picture.
