Good job on this, Kelli - you are right about the challenge to photograph them. Well, to photograph anything in an aquarium as Richard says. I watched the most fascinating show on public television the other night with a segment on these guys. They not only change color but also texture (or at least appear to do so). So cool.

So much of interest here: the great texture and variety of the bricks; the shutters ranging from tightly closed to barely open to partially open to wide thrown; the delightful lace curtains; the wrought iron and flower boxes on the balcony; the very unexpected touch of the air conditioner. I would clone out the top of that sign just to the left of the center if you have the tools to do so.

LOL at Hahn's ladder - though 20 feet is a lot to haul around with you, I actually carry a step ladder in the car when I go out shooting around here (here being Nebraska), especially when the corn is tall LOL Your light, colors and clarity are all excellent and this is such a pretty scene. Hope your trip was for pleasure - and you had fun!

I don't know why black and white can work as well as or better than Mother Nature's colors but sometimes it just does. This is surely one of those occasions. Moody and ethereal at once.
