James catches his first waveby AbraComment: Great series - and I think I'm as relieved as Mum and, probably, the kid.
I don't think this is early for week 5 - to get 52 in, we have to do one every 7 days starting 1 Jan even though the challenge didn't get rolling until a week into January. So I figure Jan 1-7, 8-14, 15-21, 22-28, and now Jan 29-Feb 4; we're smack in the middle of week 5 and I just posted one, too LOL |

Civil War Battle REenactment - Prairie Grove Arkansasby dandavisComment: Casting my "vote" for this version, too - but I agree that the vignette is a bit strong and definite. The figures I would clone out are the two onlookers in the background just to the left of the center. The light is very nice here and I really like the friendly interaction among the enactors. |

05 52by salmiakkiComment: I would not want to try to walk down this hall, but I agree with everyone else - this is seriously cool! I don't think I can do a double exposure with my camera - my loss, obviously. |

4 - Baby Pineconeby colorcarnivalComment: The pinecone is vVERY cute :) I love the colors and crisp detail in this one. I would be tempted to cheat a little: crop square losing only from left and then clone the pretty, light mottled blue background over the bits of branch that remain. |

Beetleby jomariComment: I don't mind the blown background at all - matter of fact, I kind of like it. I could use more detail on the horse on the far right, though. Beautiful animal and very nice high key portrait of him. |

MJO_1938by MattOComment: Very well done and she will be thrilled, I'm sure. Pretty girl - even if she doesn't always wear glasses, they were a good idea for this shot, I think, as they protected her eyes. And I agree about what a good job you did with the glasses. |

Walkiesby AbraComment: I didn't know the term "hairlight" ( bsluijk), but I did notice and was going to comment on the very nice rim backlighting which I think is the same thing. The curve of the road, emphasized by the painted lines, is very well used. |

_MG_9176by ScooterMcNuttyComment: I agree with chaimelle about the hardness here but it suits the expression (or vice versa) and makes for a very interesting portrait. |
