The curve of the line of grass makes a great leading line here - I might look at a more panoramic crop here as I think you could lose some from top and bottom to good effect. Splendid old place - I love stone buildings. There's something so solid and timeless about them.

What kind of shells are these? I was guessing acorn hulls and they also make me think of mushrooms somehow. I love the pattern on the outside. I think the General has the perfect idea for improvement here - like him, I really want to see the details inside, too.

My regret here is that the one out front is not the one in sharpest focus. I do love the setting, the tones, and the way he is coming out of the group toward us, creating a subtle triangle in the composition.
