yes they're abandoned and if they ever caught fire there's a lot of fuel to make it into a big mess, but the focus here seems mroe about the area with some tires than on making the tires the focus.

framing/positioning is what makes or breaks images in a challenge like this. i feel there is a bit too much superfluous environment in this shot. changing perspective and keeping excess items to a minimum would help

i'm guessing this image is intended as a visual commentary on the first step of quitting smoking, but that's not abandonment to me, it's freedom.

interesting photo, but this doesn't really seem abandoned to me.
dilapadated, sure, but this seems to be a well-kept area that's still in use, and the truck gives no reason to believe it didn't make it's way there the same day as this shot or that it couldn't leave that spot under it's own power.
i like the architecture here, great contrast on the bricks.
