Aspen Grove, Winter Morningby Bear_MusicComment: I really love these winter shots. And this photo reminds me of one particular spot in Oklahoma. The trees were all planted by prisoners, in a perfectly straight line... so no matter where you stood in the midst of it all, you could see a straight path. It was rumored that the woods there were haunted, though I never went there at night (what a pity). Beautifully composed and processed. Love the sunlight peeking through the trees. The sharpness is right on. And the photo is wonderful! |

Reflectionsby bdshortComment: A very nice black and white photos. The blurring of the background rocks are throwing it off just a little (for me), but... I do enjoy the foreground and the solitude within the picture. It's a very calming photo... one that depicts a feeling of ZEN. Wonderful shot. |

Silent snowscapeby agrimaceComment: Gorgeous photo. Love the lack of color in the picture. The reflection in the water adds to the beauty. The lone dock/pier as a nicely added subject. It's a picture that depicts winter at it's finest. Lovely shot! |

In the modality of Winterby prabjoComment: Being that this is the first picture I am choosing to vote on/comment on, I may come back and bump up my vote...
As for the comment:
I like this picture. It evokes a "coldness". Perhaps that due to the blue tinging... the colors are over saturated, which works well in this picture. It gives it a very vibrant look. I, personally, like pictures that are overly saturated, or under saturated... makes me think more.
I like the detail that is here as well. Especially when looking at the rocks just below the front of the bridge.. the snow covering them. It's very sharp. Very detailed. Great shot! :) |

Forged by wernerHComment: This was a wonderful photo.... The shades of orange are beautifully captured in this image. It also contrasts very well of the black. Focal point is spot on and detail is great. Congrats on finishing in the top ten. |

Frozen by gyabanComment: A very beautiful photo. The blue hues intensify the coldness associated with the image. |

"... your hands up! "by michelynComment: I like this. The hint of green in the color is throwing me off. I also think if the people/background were slightly less in focus it would have made for a better picture. But good shot overall. |

hide the sausageby tnunComment: I don't know why, but I love it. Perhaps it's the darkness, with hints of light. Perhaps it's the glossiness of the tripod... or maybe it's the fact that it's a gorilla pod (which I love the one I own). I think it's an interesting shot, and a good euphemism. |

Exertionby HOOMANComment: It's a little dark for me. It was hard for me to tell what it was at first. But, then I started thinking, I like how the light is playing off of the figurine. It's different. :) |

The Birds and the Beesby cloudsmeComment: Interesting way to go. I like the focus and the background... there's a very high contrast/saturation to this photo. Makes it interesting to the viewer. If there were bees buzzing around the bird, it would have made it an even better shot. Nicely done. |
