An interesting idea. I think that this may have worked better if you had been looking down, or at a different angle (this straight on approach takes away from it). Maybe cropping out the top of the stove, where the knobs and clock were, would have helped. Also, as you mentioned, there is dust/particles on the stovetop and coffeemug, perhaps cleaning/wiping them down, then reshooting would have worked better.

It almost looks like the white balance is off to achieve this shot. The focus also seems to be on the top flower, the little green part coming down... I think it should have been more on the first flower, or even the bottom two flowers. JMO

Lots of color going on. I think that if you would have focused on the flower all the way to the bottom right, made a tight crop, and had that as the image, it would have worked better for this particular challenge. Just my thoughts.

Loving the title. Great focus. Nice shot overall. A little too much color going on for what I would "think" is color on color (for this particular challenge). But it's a good set up and some nice detail to the shot.

Nice colors, the detail is good. If it was on a brighter background (lighter yellow shade), I think it would have looked even better for the challenge. But this is also nice.
