I spent a long time looking at it trying to figure out if it's really checkmate or not, it's been so long since I played chess. |

Returning to the herdby P-A-U-LComment: Good depth of field and subject isolation, but the deer doesn't take up much space in the frame and it's pretty much dead-center without any interesting elements in the foreground or sky - not sure how much more you could have cropped without losing detail? |

Shallow DOF in Pinkby WessamComment: I like the composition and the background is pleasant and colorful. Since the challenge is shallow DOF, I don't mind that the front of the flower is not in focus (more in the spirit of the challenge this way) but ordinarily I think it would look better if it was. |
