Broken Lanceby sherComment: Good use of shallow DOF to make the one broken lance stand out from the rest. |

Sunlitby HRoxasComment: Nice color contrast between the plant and the out-of-focus background. The unsharp bud in the front detracts some, but still a nce shot. |

Jade Plantby CamComment: Good shallow DOF, but as I look at the picture, I feel it would be stronger without the out-of-focus jade plants. The single sharp plant against the out-of-focus leaves gives a great 3-D effect and still meets the requirements of the challenge. |

Bultaco Pursangby mcraelComment: A beautiful bike, but the shadows on the motorcycle and the stuff in the background make for a cluttered appearance. |

drillby slonkoComment: Narrow DOF is a great tool for isolating the subject from an irrelevant background. I think that when you're photographing a single item - such as this drill - the whole thing should be in focus. |

"Her Tools"by jpochardComment: I like the pattern formed by the openings in the wrenches. I also like the metallic textures. Not involved in the rating, but why HER tools? |

garfishby sergutComment: This is an interesting idea, using the garage opening for a frame. IMHO it might have worked better without the fish and with a larger frame. The buildings, which I find the most interesting part of the picture, are way too dark for my taste. |

And the plot thickens... by kosmikkreeperComment: The cat may think they go together; I'm not sure the fish woujld agree. Nice rendition of the fish; I'd like to see more detail in the cat, though I have a black cat and I know how hard it is to get detail. |

Toothbrush & Toothpasteby EddyGComment: The sharp rendition and simple composition make this look almost like a painting. That very bright highighlight is a bit distracting. |
