	A Dance of Flames by debgoff Comment: Fire makes a great subject. The colors and shapes are great, but the sense of transluscence that makes fire s beautiful desn't come through - it's hard to say why. Still, a very nice photo.

	Merecat by peecee Comment: A very handsome merecat, nicely exposed and composed. The background is so dark it's hard to tell whether it is in or out of focus.

	Gerbers by shareinnc Comment: I like the plant set off by the out-of-focus plants in the background. I think this would be a stronger photo if the main plant were off center and if the out-of-focus petals were all behind it, rather than in front.

	KooKooKoKaKaKaKaKa - Kookaburra by mrblobby Comment: The kookaburra is great, but the slant and the wide frame give the overall picture a gimmicky appearance. IMHO the fact that editing programs let you create bizarre effects is not a mandate to use them to excess.
