Date: Feb 8, 2004
Aperture: 5.6
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/125

My first shot on DPC that was done in total manual control. Focus - exposure - flash intensity - White balance - shutter speed and apature.

Very pleased with the result so think i will shoot like this in future. Manual WB makes such a big change.

Set wide open at full zoom. (Nikkor 28-70 poor mans lens)

Yet another challenge where I find ribbon worthy images way down the list.
I don`t know if I`m losing the plot..but just lately, I`ve been struggling to understand the voting patterns.

Great image Jon...deserved much better.

Cute, but a little to "Ikea" for my taste...

Excellent. I had originally scored this lower, but have bumped it. The color, DOF and composition just make for a real fun shot. 9 -danny

If the photo had something with a soft focus in the foreground to indicate a 'Shallow Depth of Field' I would have given it another point.

Nice use of selective depth of field, and the colors are great.

Wonderfully colorful subject matter, very cheery! I like how you've changed the feel of the photo by rotating the image, it's very interesting as opposed to being a "straight on" shot

Super nice colors..slight dark shadow on the front of the lead cup..
Good work.

Beautiful - very well done. Could easily be a professional portfolio piece. 8

Really like the crisp colors against the white background. Two cups in back, while fuzzy, still have so much color punch that they draw my eye through your shot. Tilt helps make the composition more interesting

Great angle, the colors are so vivid!
