The contest rules allow up to 640 pixels, and for a horizontal shot most - if not all - monitors will show the whole picture. By making it this small, you lose the detail that would give the viewer some sense of what the picture is about.

This picture has a lot of snap - great colors, clarity and contrast between the buildings, the water and the trees.

I like the framing, and I like the colors and angles. There's a grainy quality that doesn't seem to suit this theme - over sharpening? High ISO?

I like the way the frame creates two distinct pictures, and the way they play off each other.

I like the way the figure takes you through the tunnel and out the other side. The buildings outside the tunnel take on an air of mystery because of her presence. Unfortunately, I could not see the picture as a whole on my monitor, and had to scrool through it in parts. That's always a tradeoff in vertical shots - a good size versus the inability of many monitors to take in the whole shot at once.

Both the frame and the picture inside are interesting. I really like this picture, and I wish I could see it all at once - but it's deeper than my monitor can show, even set for full frame. That's always a tradeoff in vertical shots - a good size versus the inability of many monitors to take in the whole shot at once.

An interesting mental exercise to figure out what it is you're looking through. I wasn't able to do it. Interesting picture, nice take on the challenge.

Very nice framing. This picture gives a sense of sadness; I don't know quite why. My only wish is that I could see it as a whole, but it is too deep to fit my monitor. That's always a tradeoff in vertical shots - a good size versus the inability of many monitors to take in the whole shot at once.

OK, I won't take off any points for the bad pun. Great lizard picture, and definitely framed.
