I love the tones in this one. This is a great example of the type of shots that should win- nicely composed but not overly orchestrated shots. It does not look contrived. I really can't say enough about this; except, I am glad you won. Nice job.

texture; contrast; this is one hell of a shot. so flowing and abstract; so detailed. I like how the light hits the ripples but still does not make you aware of the angles or pull you fron the abstract.

Perhaps seeing edges on a whit background with more light and contrast would be an option.

All in all a really interesting shot.

very very nice contrast here. the thing that is so hard about black and white photos is achieving details and contrast. I love the positioning of the people; and especially the lady in the neckbrace. Classic slice of life.

I disagree with some of teh others that call this a candid shot; there is nothing candid about it; you are wide open and exposed to all the subjects- They know you are there and are just going about their business; this is alot like a national geographic shot.

This is really nice; great lighting on the skiff; terrific feel of fog on the water and perhaps the sun has come up a bit too much in teh sky; but you have a great ambience nonetheless/

The blue in the sky is digital and lossy; also its a pretty terrible shade of blue; the composition is alright; but isn't that an 1989 benz? not really yesteryear, you have to be patient and wait for the right shot; the car the sky; the details. the devil is in the details.

Nothing like a little ass in the shot to get those number up; awesome lighting effects; the focus is not sostrong especially near the foot; but show fishnets and come up with a great title and voila; NICE RIBBON.
