I'm so sorry to see you were disqualified. You are right, there will be other challenges. You've got some fine work in your portfolio, so keep it up and you'll rise to the top again.

05/24/2007 07:41:12 AM
The log and the expression are killer; it borders on something naughty, but it also technically set up well; something for everyone in other words!
05/24/2007 12:35:45 AM

05/23/2007 03:21:33 PM
Good job - congrats on your yellow...

I somehow knew the original 1st place entry was too good to be true... Shame it was just a date error that blew it away, but it was in your favour!

Nice angle. Perhaps slightly more light on her face would finish this photo off well, perhaps from a reflector. Great work.
05/22/2007 08:17:11 PM
Wow- in so many ways!! You really brought out her silky-smoothness using the texture of the... log. Very nicely done
05/22/2007 05:30:41 PM
Like this one.
05/22/2007 07:12:03 AM
I like the pose and the framing.
05/21/2007 02:29:49 AM
Very nice lighting on this, and I like the contrast between the smoothness of her skin and the rought texture on the log. You brought it out quite well. 9
05/20/2007 10:04:39 PM
I'll take your word for it. Very well captured.
05/20/2007 01:18:47 AM
Wonderful picture with an excellent lighting giving exactly to the subject the awaited result ... smooth, very smooth !! The chosen perspective produces a rich balance of the subject position in the frame, and the pose of the model is really elegant, giving even an impression of quiteness and wellness ! Congratulations ! In my T2.
05/19/2007 05:59:25 PM
This is an amazing angle and just a well shot photo all around. This is magazine quality. I do have to give the model some credit too.... hah
05/19/2007 02:10:41 PM
Nice contrast between the rough wood and smooth skin. Arm in foreground is dark, and distracts from the shot. Post & composition is unusual, but am not sure it is pleasing.
05/19/2007 11:32:28 AM
Great setup and composition... in contrast to the pole, or anything else for that matter, she is lovely smooth. Nice shot! 8
05/19/2007 07:07:05 AM
Nice texture contrast of the models skin to the log
05/18/2007 09:00:48 PM
indeed!!

I really like the contrast between her and the bark on the tree. Though I think a (implied) nude would have been even better because the lines of the underwear seem to break the flow, but all and all really nice photo, lighting and concept. 9
05/18/2007 06:28:37 PM
I like how you posed her on the rough bark for contrast. Very well done. 9.
05/18/2007 04:25:29 PM
excellent pose and model. I like the lighting and am always a sucker for pics that include pretty ladies.
05/18/2007 01:03:30 PM
The texture differences are OK but true to the challenge would have been something less rough. Still nice lighting...
05/18/2007 12:40:46 AM
GORGEOUS model and i love the contrast of her skin and the log 10
05/17/2007 05:22:59 PM
100% gorgeous!! Awesome lighting, posing, and prop..oh, almost forgot...the models is great too! ;0)
05/16/2007 11:19:01 PM
Wow. Interested to see how this scores.
05/16/2007 10:25:17 PM
The angle's great although maybe the lighting could have been a little better?
05/16/2007 09:43:09 PM
The contrast between her lovely skin and the log's weathered surface is a great idea! Not sure about her pose though...
05/16/2007 02:26:03 PM
Good contrast between 'smooth' and rough subjects...nice DOF
05/16/2007 10:14:38 AM
I would like this so much more if she wasn't laying on the rough tree pole
05/16/2007 09:44:43 AM
Lovely tones. Great subject. I like the contrast between the rough tree and the smooth woman. 7.
05/16/2007 07:05:31 AM
the contrast between bark and smooth skin took me a minute.
bringing the subject forward to focalize on the contrast between the back of the upper arm and the bark with two front lights in 5200k would be perfect to demonstrate your concept. good
05/16/2007 02:30:50 AM
Well done. The rough log is an excellent contrast to her smooth skin. That is a very sensual pose, too. Her eyes engaging the lens adds even more softness.

10.
05/16/2007 01:38:49 AM
Looks like it. Why is she laying on a telephone poll???
05/16/2007 01:28:23 AM
very nice!
05/16/2007 01:00:22 AM
She's very silk smooth, I love the lighting in this.

Two issues. First, what's up with the tree? I really don't understand how the tree fits in. Second, I think it would be tons better if it was cropped about a cenimeter past her foot. It would deffinately give more of an illusion with the tree instead of having that dead space at the end.
