Minskoff.2by mariucaComment: Great angle here. From a standpoint of Critique purely based upon color; its fantastic- but perhaps the color makes the composition, the warm-gold and pattern contrasting with the cool-street and shadow people in the middle, then the warm again with the crimson; it just works well- broken up perfectly by the pillars. Excellent shot. |

Symbiosisby mariucaComment: You found a beautiful spot here, I'd love to see more of these in color and with soft lighting- don't get me wrong, the black and white has a classic feel to it that is lovely with the snow and works quite well in value and contrast; however, your description demands that more photos be seen... |

Intactby mariucaComment: Great lighting here; when we have such a small subject at times it is difficult to have perspective; perhaps in music that is called "headroom"- here you have achieved a great amount with very little. |

Furtive Lookby mariucaComment: Very interesting light, perhaps the best thing about this photo is that we see it from the fringe; we are using the peripheral vision, we are forced to look away not by what is in the frame but what is not; when you look at the door, you focus there but your gaze wanders to the outsides; brilliant. |

The-travelerby mariucaComment: Nice shot- the effect works, the tree and the fellow are focal points. Quite interesting. |

Picasso Tree by genova24Comment: great contrast and values, awesome composition- the real feel of "art against the backdrop of tragedy of a tornado-" feel; or perhaps it is art IN the midst of, or AS tragedy itself. You've provoked a bunch of thought, good job. |

Houston, we have lift off !by RmacComment: Great action, great title; alternate title "this just can't end well..." I think its about a 7-8. Its not your fault, its just that the background screws up the composition, in a perfect world, a bit to the left. no trees behind and filling up less frame you'd have a ten- but you still have a hell of a shot in my book. |

CLEAN PAIR OF HEELSby sunraygpComment: Super shot, if it was not for those trailers in the back... it just obscures your subject too much and makes it too busy. Nice clarity in the boots and great focus in all the right spots. |

Watching the fog and wave breakingby whiterookComment: I want to like this shot a great deal, I mean I like it but I want to like It more- maybe its the painter in me wanting to improve on the scene, the colors, the values, the composition. I think the strong points are the misty fog, the light on the water, the blue colors in the dark side of the shot to the right, the hopeful feel of the sky. Unfortunately this is lost in the crop of the photo, the digital feel of the sky, and the awkward unbalance of the values left to right.
Sorry for the criticism, just trying to be constructive. |

because it's funby bspurgeonComment: Good feel here- works with the two kids, subtle and seemless placement and execution, good choice of Black and white- not enough people use it in full sunlight and water shots. |
