Hot springsby otto22Comment: What a great shot- this screams icelandic ruggedness, of course, 30 feet behind the photog is a starbucks and gelato shop. Great use of smoke- this shot unfolds in layers. Its really great art. |

turn to tellby smardazComment: I like it- love the vague title- is he a reluctant groom? a washed up lounge singer? A best man in love with the bride? we the viewer with have to wait until it is our "turn to tell"
great lighting and contrast, especially on his face. great shot. |

Faerie Woodsby MaryOComment: Nice title. I just read somewhere that "fairies" or "faerie" and later interpretations, such as Tolkien's "elves" are really the same thing. Not the little fairies the size of butterflies- the tinkerbells, but fairies like the green night in "Sir Gawain and the Green knight." big mean faerie- elves.
sorry for the arcane discussion- nice albino deer in there.perfect placement/ |

Grapes of Wrathby bohemkaComment: I like the aspect ratio and the border. the sky lends the apparent wrath. I like a pretty shot with a touch of wrath- and you nailed that, the relevance of Steinbeck being important or not. |

792-2011 ADby MAKComment: I like I a whole lot- theres a nice primitive religious renaissance painting feel here- and that works even in bright sunlight, almost panoramic in effect. perhaps this would work better and be "stunning" or have that much needed "wow factor" if you took the shot really wide angle with the camera on the ground and the lens at a 45 degree angle with the ground- that would avoid the distractingly strong presence of the spires behind the facade. |

Bayside tableby MikeComment: I really dig this one- stark post- impressionist but still austere, wonderful lighting; perfect placement of the umbrellas. great wood texture- a fine entry! |

Beach Birdby JarHeadComment: What terrific clarity; I think the above blur is a bit too dark. |

Big Redby GallatinComment: The feel of this shot is great- the trees and the engine with the dirt beside them. There is a soft yellowness over the whole shot that also masks the bright daylight- but the composition is a bit lacking- and this is a free study- with need for your "A" game- this is a B+ |

Redneck.by EgillPComment: Love the title, the shot is gorgeous. The water is brilliant- it glass- pure glass; one of the top shots in this challenge. |
