Grayson's Beautyby MacDonaldComment: The placement of the rock in this shot makes a bit more sense; it gives some perspective and texture, This is awesome just like it is, the water coats the rocks in cool, the sunset coats the water in warmth, the white breaking waves below form an excellent depth of focus; |

Moffat's Giftby MacDonaldComment: I am intrigued but not to interested in the rolling babbling brook shots that pepper this site; The mist is nice- but here there is force to the waves, and the ocean, unlike a brook, swells and breath, and then ebbs and recedes as if alive, foaming and covering rock and all in its path; everything eventually yields. You have captured that in this shot. (I would clone out that distracting rock in the upper left corner and crop a bit flatter, add a black letterbox border and sell prints.) |

Lagoon landscapeby MacDonaldComment: We have all been to a spot like this, and the funny thing is, they always come out a bit smaller than we would like, without the big green trees around us and the buzzing of insects, etc. I like the boardwalk/dock on the far shore the eyes glide through the sky reflection on the water, to the bird-box, and then skip left to the shore- ending firmly on the tree in the center background. I also love this big tree in the front right. Excellent. |

Maritza's-sunset.by MacDonaldComment: Fantastic sense of scale; the surfer so small; the lines are strong and flowing; the black shore winding up the shot, the waves ever closer to the beach, the impending darkness, inevitable- warmth giving way to coolness. |

Nelson's Rainbowby MacDonaldComment: There is so much drama in the shot- the rainbow(s) form the perfect compositional element; they create a fantastic roof over the boats, adding emphasis- it almost looks like a giant eye, with the white cloud behind the masts looking like a pupil. Another great shot. |

Bokehby posthumousComment: faint and mysterious. It works, makes you think. makes you wish for focus, now only achievable through lack thereof. |

Using Shadows in Photographyby Tommy_MacComment: love the plaster and the chair; I love how it could be outside under a back porch light, or more likely in the cellar. Nice work, very interesting. |
