The Upstairs Maidby jodiecostonComment: Originally posted by Inga_fang: I love this one, I wish you hadn´t cut of her bum though...naughty, erotic, great contrast between the white of her skin and the black of the outfit |

Atomic Bomb Dome Oneby JesuispeureComment: absolutely evokes feelings of post apocolyptic horror. It also has the feel that is often evoked in monuments stateside, that of holocaust memorials and the like. The composition aids in that as well. |

Purple Beautyby ConcreteDonkeyComment: This is a fantastic composition, most notably because of the expression it seems. I don't agree with much of the criticism because lately the most im[portant aspect of photography for me is emotion and where the eye is "forced" to go in the shot. Here, the eye is wants to look at the gloss off the hair or the shine of teh lips, but instead is forced to the area directly below the eye, peripherally viewing th erest of the photo. That gives the photo its charm and enhances the composition.
There is one criticism, I have viewd several of your shots and it could be my monitor or yours but the deep richness appears to be lacking, on this shot. The contrast? levels, I don't know- but if you use the rule that the focal point of the conposition is the area where darkest meets lightest- your darks in this photo could be a bit darker, and it would really be killer.
anyway- its just my unlearned opinion- great shot. |

white308.jpgby DrJOnesComment: would this shot be any less erotic without the nippleage? probably not, but its perfect the way it is. great shot dr.
oh yeah, isn't it a rule of photography that "eyes attract eyes" well guess what- something else attracts eyes too. |

Just Tby MonaComment: This has a great feel of a summer lake adn the stillness of glass. There is a remarkable feeling of isolation, fear, danger and yet calmness. It makes you want to hop forward onto the float and just do a plunge over the back slowly. There is also a subtle religious overtone that is only solidified by the light. Another great shot Mona. |

Birds in Balanceby coolharComment: there is such a feeling of movement to this shot and it is so alfred hitchcock that is is really nice. I hate to say it but the airplane is not really necessary here and the stark negative space would be just fine. But what the hell, anytime you can compose a beautiful shot and have a plane fly through the picture, I say go for it.- and i guess upon further review the birds do appear to be escaping from the path of teh plane- and yes motion is derived from that so- even better than before! |
