imsensedby tnunComment: Thunder!
Is this you really?
Not the older, poised gentleman with a white long beard, cane, pocket watch and golden fob ... |

C is for Cby jmritzComment: I keep looking at this John. I seldom touch 10 before really looking long and hard, as if marks are of any good. It was instant applause. Now, did you just stumble upon this? I love when you get out a bit of the "cataract look" - cataract as in the eye problem. |

A cup of Teaby blacknoirComment: Very expressive. Obviously not his cup of tea. Or is he working for a funeral home? Bump to 8 |

The Barmanby MAKComment: You told his story very well. The barman is a listener.

Metamorphosis Incompleteby sfaliceComment: You left me speechless here. Which is usually a good sign. I see no use of it as a photo BUT it's important as a document. Yes, the document of the incomplete metamorphosis! (and an exercise in expert editing)
The expression of the man is wonderful, especially the one in the background. The metamorphosis did not take away his poise. It's the surprised look that we have at ourselves when we grow old.

Morning Routineby ecmguyComment: I can almost see it on tv for a Crest ad! An illustration done well but less of an artistic shot. |

first ear loweringby leonedavisComment: Absolutely splendid. More so since it has a child as main character. Who needs to see all the cute babies in the world? The family and friends only. Or in a challenge requiring that.
But this is a great candid, a great catch, and great processing. The allure of the child, the moment when the father turned his head ... You can almost hear the silence, the bumbled question, the barber in stop motion. This IS NOT A BABY PICTURE and applaud you for that.
Yes, a 10 |

Chameleonby davidfallsmithComment: A good illustration done by a virtuoso. Remains an illustration for me. A portrait is a different thing. No mark |

On a loss of a daughterby HighNoonerComment: That's an uncanny picture. If the title is true, I am at odds of the fact it's published.
The eyes only, without the close up, would have said it all, without any title.
But I am probably totally wrong. It's in this context, in a DP challenge, that I feel bad having to look at this man in the most horrible pain. We look plenty at wars, the known and unknown. it's a great picture but .... |
