Dessertby ewebComment: Yum This looks delicious and I can't wait to see the recipe! The variety of colors in this shot is very appealing and the presentation is excellent. The lighting is just a tad dark on the top to me and the picture ends up losing impact on the upper part. An 8 to start but I will be back :) |

Pod Buddiesby DiamondPeteComment: This is a wonderful idea the black background is a very nice touch. But the peas look a little dark, the light reflecting off the actual peas is a nice touch. A 7 for now but I'll be back :) |

A romantic night in: A recipe for disasterby NatatorComment: Especially with those flames from the candles! ;) This is a very cute shot and idea. The DOF is wonderful and the clarity in the front is again, wonderful. The cropping is a bit tight in the front, and the border is okay but would have worked better if the thick black wasn't on the outside. An 8 :) |

Dijon Pork Chops and Friesby alternaruleComment: Looks very yummy. But the cropping leaves me wanting on this shot. There is too much space between the plates and tehe dirty fork, though indicting that a bit has been taken is really distracting in the end. The colors are wonderful, the lighting is nice and bright showing off your subjects so an 8 for this one. |

Two's Company, Three's A Crowd!by browntComment: The lighting on this shot is wonderful, well balanced and no glares. The reflections in the glasses is subtle and very pleasing to the eye. I keep thinking if that third glass was in focus it would be close to perfect but then it reminds me of the "third" party butting in type thing too, just on the fringes ready to ruin the mood per say. I think if had brought the camera up just a bit and gotten more of what was in the top of the glasses this would be a perfect shot. An 8 to start with. |

Pasta salad with grilled vegetableby sahkoComment: This looks so good! Take away the tomatoes and I'm eating at your house! :) This is a good shot overall. The finished product with the raw ingredients around it. The clarity, the colors are wonderful and at first I started this at an 8 but am going to a 9 but I'll be back :) |

Blackberry Liquorby SwashbucklerComment: Are we drunk yet? :) This looks like a fun thing to make and the colors of the blackberries is very nice. The cropping is a bit off to me, maybe if you had included the entire top and teh border is a bit distracting on this shot. A 7 for now but I will be back. |

Fairy Godmother Cakeby SamaraComment: This looks so yummy! That glaze is making me hungry! ;)
The shot seems a bit off balance, like it's leaning a bit to the left and the overall lighting is a bit harsh, the silver on the fork looks blown out. The cropping is wonderful and the roses in the back with the angel knick knack is a very nice touch. An 8 from me ;)

Fast and Easy Tex Mex Dipby GolferDDSComment: This will be one I come back to find out the recipe, I love this stuff! :) As for the shot, too many things going on at once and it pulls away from the main object, the food. I think the formal setting for the Tex=Mex is a bit much, something much more casual would have really worked with this shot and a bottle of tequila! ;) The lighting is also a bit off, too bright in the center and to dark on the upper corners. An 8 overall from me. |

Old Family Recipeby dsidwellComment: I love homemade bread. I used to make it with my grandmother all the time. I like this shot, the bread, the rolling pin the picture in the back, the vase and flowers all add to the shot. What hurts it to me is the brown thing in the background, can't really tell what it is and it fights the bread for attention. Maybe if you had put a flour cannister or a recipe box? An 8 from me. |
