A good idea but the cropping and size of the shot hurts the overall shot for me. The tan across the bottom is very distracting and the green bottle is also taking away from the shot for me. Perhaps with just the blue bottle and the plant on a darker background, with a back light? A 3 as is

A good idea, my husband has a lamp similar to that one. The shot is wanting in that the focus is off to much, if you were going for a soft effect, it didn't work for me personally. The angle of the shot also leaves me wanting, maybe if you were just a bit higher? I do like the cropping, the corner of the desk right on the edge helps brinng you in the shot and the lines take you around. A 5

Yes it is, therefore it doesn't really qualify for this challenge then does it? :( The focus is wanting and the cropping is a bit tight to me, cutting off so much of the top of tree. I like the colors in the sky, very nice. A 3

A nice shot overall but a bit too much for a still life to me. If you had focuses in on the little church on the chair or just the chair I think it would have worked much better for this challenge. As is, there is too much going on, to many things are distracting me and I can't see what you might have wanted the main focus of the shot to be. Also the lighting is a bit off, a bit more brightness in the post processing perhaps? A 3

A good idea but not done very well. The shot is fuzzy, not cropped very well, the lighting is wanting, the sun in the middle of the pond looks too bright while the rest is too dark. There isn't enough contrast to make this picture really pop out. A 3

A different idea no doubt but the flourescent lights really hurt you on this one. If you had been able to get higher so they would be a factor. Also the focus is just off and the lack of color or contrast really makes the picture a bit dull. A 3

Not sure how this meets the challenge but I'll give you the benifit of the doubt on that one. The shot is out of focus overall except for the very top of the broom bristles. The brightness of the shot is wanting and the contrast, or lack of causes the picture to look dull. A 3

A persian kitten! You get a point for that alone because I love persians! :) But sadly that is all that qualifies for this challenge, the subject is alive and moving as seen by the blurriness in the shot and the tongue action. The cropping is wanting, the one ear getting cut off really hurts the shot and the black wavy line on the right is very distracting. A 3
