She's adorable and so deep in thought! I like the idea you went with but as they would say does it really fit the Still Life challenge? It's all in personal preference. As for the shot, it's a bit small and the cropping is too tight on the top for me, you cut off those beautiful little curls and the imbalanced frame, the large top and bottom compared to the small sides is very distracting. A 4

Apples to Budda, interesting. I like the idea, combining something traditional with something unique. :) As for the shot, the soft light from the right is just a tad to soft for my taste personally and the left is just a little to dark, I would have liked to at least be able to see an outline of the left shoulder. Also the focus is just a tad to soft for me. I started this at a 4 but am raising it to a 6

Perfect interpitation of still life, wine, cheese, cracker, really, really bit caviar ;) The shot seems a bit noisy to me and the DOF is wanting on this one. The cutting off of the trya on the bottom is distracting and the while lace cloth, if it was in the whole shot would have worked very nicely. Also a bit more light would really help this shot, maybe a left to right light? A 4

This looks very yummy, I love salmon :) As for the shot, the cropping is off to me, if you had had more even parts in the corners, they are distracting being all different. The colors are good but for some reason I think they could pop just a bit more. I had started this at a 4 but after re=examining it I'm going to a 6

Wow, what a dog, it is a dog right? ;) Very interesting choice for the shot, the background does help add to the shot a bit but the lighting and the shadow on the left are a bit distracting. The white and gold is very bright and a bit overpowering in the shot. It just doesn't appeal to me on a personal basis either, not my style per say. A 4

Outside the norn but very well within the boundries ;) I like the idea but the cropping seems off to me. The line is leading me in but maybe if it was closer to the corner, more of an angular shot. The big black border hurts this shot, either thinner or maybe a little lighter color. A 4

But by regular definition not an actual still life shot per say so a point or two off for that. As for the shot, nice looking dog, I love little bulldogs. The lighting is basically good but the size and the cropping is wanting for me. The floor would be a great background for other shots, the lines leading you in and around. A 4

Peaches is still and full of life I"m sure but but the regular definition this doesn't meet the challenge matter. So points off for that. As for the shot, nice compusure but the clarity and sharpness are wanting. I like the coloration you used, very subdued and quiet to match the mood. The cropping is a bit tight on the top, his/her little ear got cut off :( A 4 to start

Fits the challenge but it appears washed out to me. The brightness in the back is really glaring on my monitor and the statue is a very dull grey. I do like the angle of the shot, Sherlock Holmes was a very inposing figure :) A 4 to start

Yes it is. My Dad loves this stuff, not for me though :) As for the shot, it really leaves me wanting. The contrast is really dull and the colors just don't do anything for me. Maybe a black background and the pie surrounded by the pecans would make it work better? A 3
