Fall impressionsby rhipsterComment: I like the effect here in the leaves. The tree trunks, however, show up as light blue and you can't help but think--needs to be leveled.
Actually, if you crop the left side, eliminating all traces of the white sky, it get's bumped up a couple notches, and for some reason, the light blue trees don't bother me, and it becomes painterly.
Love to see more of your experiments in the thread. |

Geysirby heidaComment: Beautiful shot Heida! Including the people gives this incredible scale. Unless they were all really small people. ;)
I also find it humorous that even in sillouette you can see the ones with the digcams composing in their LCD. |

2by jmritzComment: Overall, I like this shot much better, John. I still see a regular pattern (almost waffle maker) that stands out a bit too much in the lighter areas (look at the sky reflection bottom right, for example), but overall, it has good aesthetics. |

DSC06373web.jpgby dipaulkComment: This experiment turned out very well. Very nice. I think it would be good to stay more towards the brigher flowers here, though--the dark centered ones (shaded?) aren't as well suited for this; the other is almost too bright, but the mix of yellows and reds will work exquisitely. |

Octoberby scalvertComment: Excellent shot--the color and aesthetics are wonderful. This is very nice and impressionistic in quality. Amazing how well this works even with it being a horizontal "slice". |
