Me and my guitar alone in this worldby kaushComment: Nice composition. I think this is a very emotive image. The black & white choice was perfect, helps convey the mood nicely. I do think its a little too dark - a shade lighter would still capture the thought behind the photo but also allow more detail to be seen I think. Very nicely done. 7 |

Trappedby chepeComment: Great colors and I like the focus. I think the lighting is good, though the slight glare off the collar is a bit distracting. The subject is good - the title helps bring the sense of solitude to the image, fits the challenge very well. Solid photo. 6 |

Where's the herd?by Dave GordonComment: Good solid image, well composed. I like the contrast of the colors vs the black & white cow. I wish the colors were a bit more vivid however. Lighting looks a bit off which may account for the slight dulling of the leaves. Fits the challenge well. Nice job! |

A solitary mouseby ExposureComment: I like the silvertones of this image, the shape of the mouse adds to the interest and it fits the challenge in its alone nature. I don't get the feeling of solitude or loneliness from it though. I like the lighting, but I wish the focus was equal throughout since the subject is so prominent. Nicely done. 7 |

Sit awhileby MikeOComment: Great image. I like the differences in light, and the focus is great. Has a nice general alone feel, though I don't get a solitude or lonely sense from it. Colors are a bit muted but I think that helps with the overall feel of the area. No real negative aspects, would suggest cropping that light looking bit of tree? on the right. 8 |

Alone on the Marshby SteveZComment: Great use of the light, I love the perspective. Detail/focus is great. The bridge/path does give a distance feeling, helping to put forth the feeling alone - particularly since the scene is empty of other people. I wish the colors were a little richer, feels like a slight haze of light or something is dulling them out in the background just a bit. Nothing terribly bad though. Well done. 7 |

The New Kidby thelselComment: Nice image, I like the duo-tone look. Great use of space, very alone feeling. Child's posture helps convey the feeling well. With the title, I'm wondering if this would have a greater impact if a playground/schoolyard scene was in the background. Just a thought. 7 |

...in thoughts.....by miss parkerComment: Beautiful photo. I love the b&w aspect. Lines and shapes are nice and crisp. The lighting is good, both it and the person's general expression help set the mood. Fits very well in the challenge. Great job. 8 |

Alone in a Foreign Crowdby CraigDComment: Wonderful image. Really show off the feeling of alone, in a nice unique way. I like both the difference in language and in the color - all of which are very vivid. Great focus. Composition really brings the mood home. Nice work. 7 |

What's on the Otherside?by BlinksComment: Nice photo! Colors are good, as is the light usage. Subject does give a feeling of solitude and pensiveness. Nice focus, has a good general appeal. Well done. 7 |
