Leafby irikaComment: Great color and fits the challenge, the light usage is good and focus is very nice. Technically a sound photograph. Doesn't draw me in on an artistic level though. I gave a 5 |

What have I becomeby awpollardComment: Definitely a lot of contrasts to be found here, light and dark, fresh and dead, even looks as if there's a portion with more of a focus (the dead rose) vs the softer focused live rose. I think its an interesting study in contrasts but in general not something I would have on my walls. I also find the dark.. area on the top of the fresh rose very distracting, looks like the coloring of one of the petals is merging with maybe the stem of the dead rose which makes it a bit more noticable than it normally would be. Purple Rainby smilebig4me1xComment: Simply gorgeous color. By itself it would be a lovely image, the droplets give an added area of interest. Wonderful focus and great lighting. I gave an 8 |

Fruit of Nature's laborby octane202Comment: Fabulous color and the focus looks great to me too. The texture of the fruit is great and the added dimension with the water droplets just boosts the interest level for me. I gave a 6 |

Connect the Dots. . .by tryals15Comment: I love the black & white and grit/noise this image has. Its quite simple and yet has loads of interest. If I were to pick something I might change I'd say cropping out the top portion with the lesser focus, I'm not sure it necessarily adds to the image all that much - maybe where that last biiig bubble is would be a good cut off point. Still, I very much enjoy your take on the challenge, well done. I gave a 7. |

Suspended in the Rainby chefsamComment: Gorgeous in its delicacy. I am a clod at trying to photograph spiderwebs clearly so seeing one always knocks me out. Focus is great, composition is wonderful. The only thing I find distracting are the trees behind because of the way the light is filtering through them the web can get almost obscured or outdone. If there was a way to get something darker behind the web while still using the light to pearlesce (is that a word??) off the raindrops, I think that would help the web pop out just a bit more and add loads of wow. That said, this is still a fantastic image. I gave a 6. |

untitledby cheleComment: Great colors and I can see it meets the challenge very well. The focus seems a bit distracting for me though - it appears you want to highlight the droplets on the leaves but the soft focus on the trees in the background, as well as all the space they take up, are distracting my eyes away from the water drops. I find the one big leaf with all the droplets to be a bit flat and uninspiring, however I LOVE the smaller leaf nearly hidden next to it. The way the light filters through it really brings out the character and details of the leaf in an interesting way, I wish more of the photograph focused on that leaf. All in all I think its a good photograph, it just doesn't grab me as much as it could. I gave a 4 |

Telltaleby bongoComment: Interesting image. I like the premise behind it but it has a flatness in color that is a bit offputting. If there was a way to darken the water more so that shining droplet stood out even better, that contrast might add more pop to the photo. Since the droplet IS the main and basically only area of focus for the photograph I feel it needs something more to give it a boost. I gave a 4. |

Shelterby mpembertonComment: Wow that's some crazy rain. It looks almost like a textured wall. Very abstract feeling to that portion of the image. I like the simplicity of the photograph, you've highlighted the rain very well, but I find myself straining just a bit to see some details of the "shelter". There are portions where the light is being diffused by the leaves, which in turns gives more detail to said leaves - I really like that aspect. I gave a 6 |
