Yellow Tulip

Good composition, nice colors. I like the fact you have a green background for your subjects, helps meld the stems into oblivion. The lighting is VERY harsh in the image, I can't be sure whether it is sunlight or man-made, if man-made I would suggest both a diffuser and perhaps some way of backlighting the yellow tulip more, giving it a bit more of a glow. If the sun, then a large piece of tissue paper strategically placed or something similar to tone down the hard light. The other thing I'm finding problematic is the focus. It looks fairly good on the stem and leaves of the yellow tulip but the main focus (IMO) should be the petal area of the tulip and the water drop. Yellow seems to have a way of blotting out details so attention to focus on the petals would probably give this image a bit more oomph. 5.

Great color contrasts, interesting perspective. The lighting is pretty harsh, but its hard to tame sunlight (maybe some kind of diffuser prop if it was big enough?). The focus seems fairly soft here, which because of the macro-esque nature of the image is a drawback. I do like the composition. 5.

Punked in Yellow

Not sure I understand the title.. unless the dog's name is Punk? Regardless, nice focus, nice lighting though a little harsh in the bottom right corner, background creates a good contrast for the yellow and browns. Seems like there are too many subjects in the image. Either just the dog or just the guy would be stronger, IMO. 5

Fun image! I do wish the yellow plate was level in the photo even if that threw off all the others. Also wish it wasn't cut off on the side. Nice interesting subject, good lighting, and great focus. This one really grabs me for some reason. 7.

Soft and delightful. Wonderful clarity, excellent lighting. I would love to know how you achieved the look as my lighting always stinks royally. A very simple but elegant image. 7.

Yikes. That pink is too much.. really makes me want to look away from the photo. It does give the yellow something to contrast off of though. The colors are vibrant and the focus is excellent. Lighting seems a bit harsh but good overall. Not at all a fan of the pink which degrades the image for me. 5.

Lovely model. Nice contrasts with the color of the flowers and the model's skin and hair. Interesting movement in the flower/vines but it seems a bit neatimage-y to me. Lighting is good as is composition. Feels a bit familiar and thus static in general though. 6.

Focus and lighting are good, but the composition is leaving me a bit uninspired. I'm not sure why though. Maybe if there were a bit more drama or mystery to the image. Right now, to me, its just someone with half their face covered by some material, my emotions aren't being drawn upon. Still its a sound image and nicely rendered. 5.

Love the clean lines of this. Great subject and way of highlighting yellow in the image. I do wish the pale sepia-ishness was a little richer.. more creamy I guess? Maybe that would've drawn away from the yellow pick though. Nicely done. 6.

Simple and beautiful. Nice lighting. Excellent choice of background to highlight your subject. Focus is great, maybe a tad too sharpened, looks a little noisy as well in some of the background areas. Other than that I think its great. 6.
