Is this the "yearbook" pose? It's wonderfully lit, looks just like the lighting from a LifeTouch portrait. (I worked for them for a while and miss having access to those lights.) I'm not really good at the critique part, I'm usually a praise person. LOL!

Not sure what type of comments were supposed to leave for this SC, critical for improvement, encouragement? LOL! Anyway, I think ray hit it on the head that this is a little harsh for a child's portrait. Not really sure if it's because the lighting is too harsh or if it's the detail. It also appears the focus is on the mouth (the bottom lip to be specific) instead of the eyes. And the blown out bits of hair around the neck might be better to just clone them out. That said, she has a sweet smile and a bit of a mischievous look about her!
