When I look at this image, the first thing I see are the mountains and how they are lit. The mountains are lit by sunlight coming from the right, thus not being back-lit. The more I look at the image, the more I am thinking that you are considering the bare trees as being back-lit by the mountains. Maybe that is the case, but the over-riding elements of this image are the mountains.

Don't think this is backlit. Light seems to be coming from overhead and to the right-front quadrant of the image.

When looking at the sahdow cast by the truck, it looks more like top-lighting rather than back-lighting. The highlights are also blown out on the roof of the truck.

the colours are good but the image is quite grainy. It also has an unnatural feel as well, probably caused by the manipulation of the light during editing.

Cool, but the red in the image at the peaks is overpowering. Too much oomph. I think it could have been toned down a bit using a mask or something.
