Enchanted Satinby aliquiComment: The cool toning initially catches my attention. Not sure at first why, so I look longer and get drawn in by the composition, bokeh and graduated light. Kept me looking.. in a good way. |

The bendsby aliquiComment: For this one, I'm actually back to comment after only 3.5 years. I was drawn to this immediately today and then noticed I had given a 9 during voting (2010 was my first year in DPC). I love this inverted reflection technigue, and this is really well done. Plus the color palette is wonderful! |

Vexatiousby aliquiComment: I really like the progressive horizontal layering. The grain/noise works here. Cool. |

A taste of Springby aliquiComment: This is my favorite kind of flower shot. Frame filling, bold, verging on abstract. Nice. |

Oggity, boogityby aliquiComment: Nicely controlled DOF and subject placement. Glad it's not on my side of the monitor! |

They'll come back for me... Any minute now -- they'll come for me...by vawendyComment: This caught my attention from the beginning and held it. My top pick! I'm not typically fond of tilted horizons, but in this case it works. Perhaps it's because the tilted horizon is the almost perfectly offset by the vertical seam between the wood planks (the one just to the right of the bear). |
