However there are many genres in which I did not produce any decent photo so far (and will likely never in several of them):
- Street photography
- City architecture
- Impressionism
- Wildlife
- Documentary
etc.
Moreover, I'm well aware that some dislike very much the style of work I do for various reasons, so "excel" is always subjective word. But thanks a lot anyway, I am always very thrilled when my work is appreciated :-)

Thank you. I'm an absolute beginner in macro photography, so I didn't expect an outstanding result, but I was quite impressed about what the 5D was able to do at high ISO settings (and also, denoising software's efficiency). Iridescence was killed in my tries with flash strobes, so I tried with ambiant light only (on a very cloudy and windy day). A great learning experience. |

I have a question. How do you get the picture size so low (40 KB??). I guess, to upload to this site, you need your pics to be around few KB size. All the pics from my DSLR are atleast few MB. Please let me know how to get the pics to a small size.
My email: lekkalachitti@gmail.com
I would really appreciate your help.
Thanks |
Thanks for your comment.
The picture size is limited to 300KB for challenge entries, not 40KB, so it's not that bad. The photos you uploaded to your portfolio have been obviously resized and watermarked, and fit this limit, so it looks like you don't need help anymore :) |

Thank you :) No wire for the tie, it's a real movement that I had to synchronize with the camera timer, hence the few tries ;) |

Thanks Margaret. The lens wasn't tilted nor shifted, it's just a standard wide angle effect you see there. As for the furniture, there was just a table to move on the side, no big deal. |

But, if you think about it, how likely is it that the utensils would all be attracted to the magnet point first? |
Thank you. They wouldn't be attracted at all, since silver isn't magnetic ;) |

Thanks! The vignetting was created by the processing itself (HDR + curves to enhance blacks & darks). I don't think the lens created it in that case, since it wasn't shifted at all. The noise was also due to the processing. Of course, I first removed it, but I liked this version more, as I felt it added some "vintage" feeling to it. I just am disappointed by the low voters, I really don't understand what their silly crusade is about. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 07/04/2011 02:11:30 AM | The Hunt by jagarComment: I imagine the cat was also hidden in the shadows for a long time, waiting for the pigeon to come near enough... That's what my cats often do, anyway. Then he probably jumped on the bird like a mad, but he didn't know there was another hunter! A photo hunter :-)
Congratulations on your patience, and of course, on your ribbon! | Photographer found comment helpful. |
