A question: the light on the eyes comes only from the long exposure or there's something else?

ETA: I watched it once again - of course your eyes have been lit with a light source coming from the right of frame (your left)

Thanks a lot Alessandro. Yes, I triggered a flash 15 times, to "freeze" an eye behind each keyhole. Between each flash, the room was dark, and I had to position my face appropriately in front of the next hole.

I concur, very impressive editing Johanna! It shows how important it is to actually take the time to shoot the appropriate photos for a given composite, makes things much more convincing. Congratulations on the top ten.

I love your choice of tones, resulting in this fragile and bucolic mood, perfect with this image. Very cleverly created. Congrats on your ribbon.

I'm so glad you're back. Please pay no attention to the low votes: they are simply insignificant, and the reasons behind them will never make you any better at what you do anyway. I am personally convinced that negative feedback is useless: no one has the right to tell you what you shouldn't be doing. On the other hand, I know many who greatly enjoy your creations, who appreciate the way you manage to transmit your mood and views through photography. I definitely am one of them, and I hope to see many more of your pictures soon.

It's definitely an excellent idea, and I love how you did not forget to address the reflection of the eye in the water. Congratulations on the nice finish!

When I look at your photo, and when I read your notes, I am so glad I am not a balloon! Congratulations Katie. It is very well done: what I especially love is your look... those eyes are so convincing! It really makes the image.

Looking at your work is like touching the colors of some edible sound. I don't know how you manage to mix all the human sensations this way, but it damn works.
