Living On Faith by ShiiizzzamComment: This is a wonderful photograph. It has all the elements. Great focus, tones, dof, subject etc. I know how frustrating it is to KNOW you have a good shot and not have it do as well as you'd like. Hang in there though! It really is great regardless of how it does on dpc. ~indi |

Fading Factories in the Mountainsby nards656Comment: Did you do something to the shot to make it look like this? The trees are really colorful, and the rest is so blah. Really says something about the pollution in the air. It feels a little cut off at the bottom maybe as far as composition goes. I actually like factory shots. I'm wanting to try one at night with a slow shutter to blur the smoke. Soon as a get a big body guard to go with me.... Anyway, fits the challenge. Not as strong as some of the other shots, but not bad. :o) ~indi |

In the Shadowsby karmatComment: Looks like a real "on the road" journalism shot. Definitely not staged. Has a few technical difficulties like hot spots (to be expected), but it fits the topic well. Like the B&W. ~indi |

Sew Simpleby mcmurmaComment: Technically, this is really good. Can't fault it any. Good tone. This whole challenge seems really cold to me tho. I just haven't found any pleasing photos that I'd want on my desktop or framed, ya know? Anyway, good idea and execution. ~indi |

Bedrock TVby AleciaComment: HOW CUTE! I like the idea. It stands out with a little humor in all these boring tech shots. BLAH! The lighting still seems a bit harsh. That's a cool antenna! ~indi |

Conch Ubineby TurbotechComment: Man. I wish I were at the beach *sigh* Beautiful sky and water back there! It's an interesting shot. I think it'd be cool if you had done a portrait type shot with part of the shell in the lower left and the sky and water behind it. The repetition created by the shells is cool. I do like the shot as is (tho the focus seems a bit soft even in the foreground) but for a macro challenge I think it would be best to focus on just one shell. ~indigo997 |
