Recycle Magazineby goodtempoComment: Good exposure in what looks like tough lighting. I'm not sure about the composition. Did you try other possibilities with more water? If you are going to do it this way, I would try a shallow dof because the back tires aren't really necessary or attractive. It's still better than most in this challenge. A strong image as is. ~indigo997 |

1 Bowl of Soupby MiekaComment: Great perspective. Catching someone in their own environment without them knowing is interesting. I really like the stairs along the top. I wonder how this would have looked as a vertical shot. The leaves along the right are distracting. ~indi |

A City United: Public Transportation Success Storyby magnetic9999Comment: *whistle* you shoulda got her number and offered to take her picture some time. The guy looks like he's trying to be SO cool :o) Very nice composition. Focus might be a tad soft, but exposure is good. Fits the challenge. Nice use of B&W. Ranks up in my top 10 ... maybe 5 after bumping ~indi |

"House by House", fighting by a worthy house.by jcofComment: One of my higher scores this week. I would like a different angle that showed more of the streets. Sometimes it will help to even just hold the camera up in the air as high as you can to get a little different perspective. It isn't always possible tho. Fits the topic well. 8 ~indigo997 |

DPC Takes a Field Tripby albright1Comment: I think I recognize that guy in the middle. Good shot, but you might want to watch your borders. Missing body parts (like part of a leg) are a little distracting. ~indigo997 |

Rescue! This story and more at 11!by KarenBComment: This is kind of cool. I've never actually seen this, and we have two pics of it in this challenge? I'm not sure if it's the camera or what, but the buildings aren't very clear. Maybe it was exposure due to the lighting situation. I really don't know enough to say. ANYWAY, fits the challenge and has a good composition. Not much emotional pull, but I know that isn't always necessary in PJ. ~indigo997 |

The Face of American Resolveby TurbotechComment: Very strong image. Fits the challenge. Only technical problem I see is the lighting. Having one side of the face dark is dramatic, but having the eye dark is a little bothersome. Good work & good luck. Nice title btw. ~indigo997 |

Homeboy Brings Jobsby GotchaComment: I think I already commented, but anyway.... This would probably be stronger with an actual person in it - even if they were only pretending to paint. It's an interesting mural, but borders on the rule about taking photos of other people's art. Good luck! ~indi |

Sharing Is Caringby indigo997Comment: Yes, this is a GIRL! I chose not to use the color version because her coat is bright red and her pants were bright pink. It just didn't look good, and didn't help the bucket stand out. Also, I chose to crop off the left side because there were some cups and distracting objects on the sidewalk. She actually didn't stay out in the cold for long (not that she wouldn't have because she loved that bell), but she did get some attention and donations for a great cause. I could have just as easily taken a shot of the actual volunteer on duty. However, I think that real journalists look for the best photo ops available to illustrate their story, and this was just a stronger photo. |

More Delays on the London Undergroundby KonadorComment: One of my top 3 in the challenge. It fits the topic better than the vast majority. It's very clear. I'm telling you that it's the photographer and not the camera that make a shot! I really like how all the people got together and decided to dress is such similar tones. It's almost like a black and white which is totally cool. No complaints. ~indi |
