1.reina de mexico.DSCF9796by mariucaComment: Hmm... menu, food, food, food, food*5, dog?
Then it made sense, Start, see, serve, scraps. Never mind what you wanted to tell me, that's my story.
Your inclusion of colours are still the combining string, it's a delight.

Black Dogs Are Difficult To Photographby posthumousComment: I've never seen so many cut-off bodies being used so effectively.
Direction plays such an essential part of the story in each image. The dog's head pointing this way, dogs following one another, the shadow falling over there, and the leash, the leash!
Thanks.

Dispersionby RKTComment: My mother died about 2 years ago, a year after moving away from her home-town, where she stayed for more than 60 years. On going away, her friends made her a patchwork booklet of messages, images etc. I have it now. This is your booklet of your grandma. Beautifully done. Do not throw it away, and share it with the ones who loved her. |

!.travel-to-Oaxacaby mariucaComment: Summarised: There are vibrant colours all over the show, hustle and bustle, and it shines through the neglect.
I find it interesting that most of the people are walking away from the centre, out of the image. It gives the images the authority of being taken by somebody who is part of the scenery, have invested the time to be able to disappear as photographer.
And of course, did I mention the colours!

The Secrecy of Shadowsby instepsComment: Originally posted by mariuca: I feel that you walk very softly around your subject as to leave no marks and cast no shadows and only after a certain understanding of it you capture it on the camera.

Sheesh, but she's good. Exactly what I felt, but did not know how to say.
The darkness is so important. Normally something to run from, in your case it gives structure, binds together, with just that ever-present need to want to take two steps closer to see inside it.

oh dearby jmritzComment: Mariuca's problem is true in a sense. Each mage is so strong, it wants to take over the whole story. That is probably why Paul could easily assign his insightful interpretations to each one individually. |

Girlhood - 1by LevTComment: Third visit.
it's like they said, each has a story that captivates me on it's own, and then the sum just fills it out completely. |
